Structure is the key to successful and well-behaved children. Each component of the Teaching Tots Program provides structure and connects with all the other components. Yet each component is also straightforward to follow, both for Tots and parents, and each one will be eagerly anticipated every day by your Tots once they become familiar with its function.
Each component of the Curriculum would be quite helpful on its own.
But it’s only when you combine them all, that major improvements start to emerge.
Your Tots will get involved with the components! For instance, they’ll gather round the Corkboard and listen while you point to, and read, the Activity of the Day to them in the morning. I’ve often had Tots ask me something like this: “Patricia, when are we going to the Corkboard? We need to know the activity today.”
You’ll see a Tot's disappointment when she gets three stickers for good behaviour in three areas and one red dot for misbehaviour in the fourth area, and she’ll try harder the next day to remember what to do so all the stickers are earned and the red dots won’t be needed.
